Since its founding in 1993 — and following the celebration of its thirtieth anniversary on May 23, 2023 — the association has carried out numerous projects, including several exhibitions, the publication of books (among them a catalogue raisonné), a documentary film, an annual newsletter, and the installation of three commemorative plaques in Lausanne, Paris, and Rochefort-en-Terre. Numerous lectures have also been organized, along with two trips to Brittany following in the artist’s footsteps.
These activities have been made possible thanks to the support and generosity of several sponsors, as well as the contributions of around 200 members of the association.

Since its creation, the following people have served on the committee: Edith Carey, Anne-Françoise Pelot, Jacques Dominique Rouiller, Jean-Claude Givel (Honorary Chairman), Pierre-Alain Tâche, Laurence Estoppey Monnat, Marcel Wurlod, Jean-Léonard de Meuron, Jean-Christophe de Mestral, Véronique-Sophie de Morsier, Caroline de Watteville, Marie Prouvost, Sabine-Hélène Green. In recognition of the great services they have rendered to the AAMB cause, the following people have been named “honorary members”: Françoise Jaunin, Anne-Claire Givel-Fuchs, André Lucas, Henri-Pierre Teissèdre, as well as the late René Berger, Jean Chevallaz, Léonard Gianadda, Jacques Monnier-Raball, Emile-Jean Teissèdre and Marcel Wurlod.
